How to Select Water Well Drilling Rig?

For water well drilling rigs, the general requirements are simple configuration, low energy consumption, easy operation, mobility, versatility and small size. In practice, the choice of drilling rig must be based on the stratigraphy, hole size, and depth as well as the drilling method.

1. Drilling efficiency

Drilling efficiency depends on the formation, the skill/experience of the operator, the type of drilling machine and the drilling method.

For rocky conditions, the most efficient method is to use a downhole drilling rig in conjunction with an air compressor.

For soil, clay and sand conditions, the best method is to use a drilling rig with a mud pump.

For cobbles, a reverse circulation system is the most suitable method of drilling. Simply add a set of reverse circulation drilling tools to the existing rig.

2. Price

The price of the machine is a key factor in one's choice of the right drilling rig and is a one-off investment. The price of the machine increases with the diameter and depth of the hole.

From the Drilling method point of view, a DTH drilling rig is more expensive than a coring drilling rig, and the price of a hydraulic drilling rig is higher than a vertical shaft drilling rig, which is a more mechanical drilling machine

From mobility point of view, truck-mounted drills cost more than crawler-mounted drills.

3. Operating costs

Operating costs significantly affect the profit one can make in the drilling business. Net profit is the amount of money a driller receives from well users for water well drilling minus operating costs.

Operating costs include personnel salaries, casing, mud and fuel costs, and rig maintenance costs.

In terms of rig type, Down The Hole (DTH) rigs have higher operating costs than rotary rigs that work with mud pumps. This is because submersible drilling rigs require air compressors and consume very high amounts of fuel. Vertical drilling rigs (mechanically driven) are more economical than hydraulic rigs.

4 . Drilling methods

  • In terms of the working principle of the drilling rig, there are 3 main drilling methods.

The Down The Hole drilling method needs to be used in conjunction with an air compressor. This is a good method for rock conditions.

Mud pump rotary drilling is a more economical way of drilling and is ideal for soil, sand, and clay formations and, for rock, has a lower drilling speed than submersible drilling.

With auger drilling, no air compressor or mud pump is required for the drilling process. However, it can only drill soils, clays and sands.

  • In terms of the drilling process, we have 2 drilling methods.

Direct circulation drilling, where the drilling fluid (air or mud) is passed through the drill pipe and the drill cuttings are removed through the space between the outside of the drill pipe and the hole wall.

Reverse circulation drilling, which requires a double-walled drill pipe. The drilling fluid passes through the space between the inner wall of the outer pipe and the outer wall of the inner pipe. It is the most effective drilling method for cobbles and sandy, soil geological structures.

5. Availability of spare parts

One needs to consider the availability of spare parts when buying a drilling rig. It is part of the operating costs. If spare parts are not readily available, it means you have to pay more to get them and it takes longer. All this will definitely affect the profitability of the drilling business.

These are just some of the basics of rig selection. It can be used as a guide for entrepreneurs buying a drilling rig. If you want to know more information about types of drilling rigs, welcome to contact us today or request a quote.

What Is a Booster Compressor?

booster compressor is a type of compressor made to boost pressure in a system, typically by four to six times the normal pressure produced by machines in factories. Most factories that need a booster compressor only use this temporarily, because sustaining such high pressure can be difficult and costly. While this can be used to work a device, it more often is used for tests. Most of these compressors are pneumatic, or use air, but some have other power sources.

What Is a Booster Compressor?

Factories are where most booster compressor devices are found, because few consumers need the high pressure and power these compressors can offer. Factories' machines commonly are equipped to output about 100 pounds of pressure per square inch (PSI) (6.89 bars), which is enough to run most devices, but not enough for some other uses. When a higher PSI is required, these boosters are used, and they commonly can output from 400 to 600 PSI (27.57 to 41.36 bars).

Most factories are capable of boosting their own PSI without needing a booster compressor, but there are problems with this. A boost in PSI often requires a lot of work to power up the equipment, and it costs much more to sustain the extra pressure. This means this type of compressor makes it much easier to produce and sustain higher-than-average pressures. While this drives down power costs, this compressor is still commonly used on a temporary basis, because power costs can rise if this compressor is on too long.

If a device, such as a nail gun or refrigerator, needs high pressure to work, then a booster compressor can be used. At the same time, most devices do not require the high pressure this type of compressor can make, and the high pressure may be detrimental in terms of functionality; for example, a nail from a nail gun may shoot a hole through the wall instead of simply being driven into the wall. For this reason, a booster compressor is more often used to test presses, pneumatic lifts and other devices based on pressure. Fittings and clamps that need to hold tight at certain pressures also will be tested through this compressor.

The most common type of booster compressor is pneumatic, because this is generally easy to use and only a relatively small amount of energy is needed. Other common sources of power for this type of compressor include electric, diesel and nitrogen. The other sources tend to use more power, and they usually need other resources, so they are not as common as pneumatic systems.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Container Houses?

Container houses are exactly what they sound like; homes built from steel containers, the cargo you see everywhere on trains, trucks and ships.

Recently, architects are finding new and creative ways to transform these containers into living spaces, from studios to guest rooms and even single-family homes.

Highly durable and able to be built without the hassles of a wood-frame home, container homes are an attractive option for budget-conscious homeowners.

Should I choose a Container house? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Container houses China exporter gives some pros and cons to you to consider.

Pros:

Prefabricated

Easy to transport

Predictable costs

Recyclable

Cons:

Not always effective

Structural problems

20.jpg

Advantages

Prefabricated

Many container homes can be used as prefabricated modular homes, which reduces construction time. Some companies advertise delivery in 10 weeks! Most building code inspections are done at the factory, which makes things easier and faster. A modular container house is a good choice.

Easy to transport

A global system exists for moving containers. Once they arrive at your site, it is relatively simple to place them on a prepared base.

Predictable costs

Most work is done on the factory floor for a fixed price. Delivery to site, site preparation, foundations, assembly and utility connections are the only variable costs. Some see savings of 5-10%, depending on who you are comparing.

Recyclable

The environmental appeal of container homes is that you are reusing leftover products from the shipping industry to build homes. This can be a good thing, but it's not always the right or best thing to do.

Container homes are often touted as environmentally friendly because of the metal resources they supposedly save. But is container housing really the best use for containers from a sustainability standpoint? Many would disagree.

Disadvantages

Not always effective for recycling

Most factory-built container homes are built from "disposable" containers that are used only once. Stopping the use of such boxes, which have a lot of transportation life, after only one use is not effective recycling. There is much more steel in a container than is needed to build a house.

Possible structural problems

The corners of a container are very strong, but the roof is not as strong, so you usually need to build another roof over it, especially in areas with snow. When they are stacked together to build larger houses, the two containers have to be reinforced by welding almost anywhere they are joined. Any subsequent renovation would require a lot of engineering and welding and would be very expensive.

What is the Dredge Pump and How Does it Work?

What is a Dredge Pump?

A dredge pump is a horizontal centrifugal pump and is the heartbeat of a dredge. It is designed to handle abrasive granular materials and solids of limited size in suspension. Without the dredge pump, a cutter suction dredge would not be able to transport slurry.

The dredge pump is designed to take in sediment, debris, and other harmful materials from the surface floor into a suction pipe, carrying the material to a discharge site through a pipeline. The pump must be able to handle common solid fragments of various sizes that are capable of passing through the pump, minimizing downtime required for cleaning.
How do dredge pumps work?

The dredge pump contains a pump casing and an impeller. The impeller is mounted inside the pump casing and is attached to the drive motor via gearbox and shaft. The frontal portion of the pump casing is sealed using a suction cover, connecting directly to the dredge’s suction pipe. The dredge pump’s discharge is positioned near the top of the dredge pump and is connected to a separate discharge line.

The impeller is considered the core of a dredge pump and is similar to a fan that forces out air creating a centrifugal suction force. At the suction pipe, this vacuum absorbs the slurry and transports the material through the discharge pipeline.

Dredge Pump Characteristics
Cutter suction dredges are typically equipped with a hull mounted dredge pump that has the center of its impeller located at or below the waterline for further production and improved suction efficiency.
A dredge pump is designed to move a large volume of fluid and solids.

In ideal conditions, a dredge pump can generate fluid acceleration greater than the speed of its fastest moving component.
Certain models can generate discharge pressures up to 260 ft. (80 m) of head.

A dredge pump’s overall performance is predictable, despite a complex internal flow pattern.

Selecting a Dredge Pump
Most standard dredges are designed and outfitted with an  optimally size dredge pump to achieve an overall productivity range In cases where the pump size and type are a undefined, it is worth considering the following factors when selecting a dredge and dredge pump:  type and thickness of material to be pumped,  whether diesel or electric power is required, engine HP (kw) needed,  pump performance data, durability, ease of maintenance, and  average life expectancy under normal operating conditions, all vital attributes in the selection process.  Of equal importance is matching the appropriate pipeline size and composition to maintain proper flow of material without clogging the pipeline and to maintain required pumping production to complete the job.

The dredging pump is a kind of mud pump developed by our company, which is used for dredging and hydraulic filling of rivers, lakes and seas. We have dredging pump for sale, If you need, please contact us.

How To Choose The Best Sun Lounger?

Sun Lounger

In the hospitality industry, sun loungers are one of the most important elements in providing customers with an unforgettable experience. Synonymous with maximum relaxation, comfort, and shut-down moments, you should choose them carefully. Otherwise, the memory of this idyllic moment may be overshadowed.

One of the key aspects is their location. We all know that sun loungers are no longer the exclusive domain of beaches and pool areas. Hotels and resort gardens are also ideal places to lie down and relax. In addition, many bars have decided to incorporate sun loungers into their terraces for the enjoyment of their customers, which also adds to their prestigious and chic atmosphere.

Other essential features are the functionality and materials of the sun loungers, as they will largely determine their durability and longevity. At this point, we should distinguish between the structure and the material of the seat.

Below we will examine all these aspects more closely so that you have a clearer idea of how to choose the best sun lounger to entertain your guests.

Location: sun loungers for the beach, pool, garden, or terrace

Where are you going to put your sun lounger? This is the first question you should ask yourself when buying a sun lounger for your hotel or establishment.

Each area of the sea, pool, garden ...... has specific characteristics in terms of exposure to the sun, humidity or their use by our customers. It is therefore important to keep this in mind when choosing the perfect sun lounger.

 Sun Lounger

  Sun Lounger

Humidity and long periods of sunlight are the main factors you should consider when using your pool sun lounger. The material will play a fundamental role: choose upholstery with a rust-proof structure and a strong resistance to water and sunlight. In addition, this fabric should be antimicrobial to prevent the spread of bacteria due to moisture and constant use.

For sun loungers in beach areas, we must add the above additional requirements due to exposure to salt scum. Plastic materials such as polypropylene are usually the most highly recommended, as they do not rust like metal furniture.

Light colors, such as white or beige, are recommended for both beach and pool areas, as they usually resist the sun better and will add to the brightness of the surroundings.

If you are looking for sun loungers for a landscaped area, you have more freedom in terms of materials, although you should also consider aspects such as humidity, sunlight, and wind. In terms of color, try darker tones if it's a tree-lined area: they will blend in better with the surroundings. On the other hand, in more open areas, light colors are still a good choice.

Finally, the best sun loungers for bar terraces will be those that combine comfort with high stain resistance. These sun loungers or sofa beds can be used by your customers for their refreshments, so it is easy to have minor accidents with the fabric getting stained. The water and stain-resistant material will allow you to clean easily and always look perfect.

Valuable Tips for Choosing Industrial Burners and Accessories

There are many brands of oil burners and natural gas burners on the market today. When choosing an industrial burner, there are many variables to consider. Of course, you need to determine what capacity and what flame you need. You also need to consider temperature requirements, burner ratings, etc. The experts at ChineseBurner have gathered their tips for choosing an industrial burner.

Burner Ratings

First, consider the burner rating. If the burner rating is too small, then your system may not be able to reach the temperature or capacity you want. You need to look for a burner with a maximum input rating that is higher than the maximum burn rate of the unit.

Fuel Type

When selecting a new burner system, weigh the advantages and disadvantages of each of the following fuels.

Natural gas

Natural gas is the most common gas used in boiler systems. It is usually the least expensive fuel and is readily available for those located near the line.

Fuel Oil

Often, many homeowners choose oil burner because they do not have natural gas service or intend to use fuel oil as a backup fuel. However, transporting oil to the plant can be expensive and you will pay more per BTU.

Liquid Propane

Liquid propane, while more expensive than natural gas, is widely available and an inexpensive alternative. This gas type produces fewer emissions and is therefore considered a cleaner method.

Regulation Ratio and Load

The modulation ratio, which refers to the ratio of maximum capacity to minimum capacity, shows the flexibility of the burner. If you are looking for a burner that can handle a variety of different load profiles, look for a burner with a larger regulation ratio.
Over cycling of the burner will increase component wear and may result in excessive purge losses. Since process regulation can vary greatly, make sure your final selection will allow you to operate at both minimum and maximum loads.

 Pure oxygen burner

Ease of installation

Consider ease of installation, access and adjustment when selecting a burner. Burner installation should allow for removal of the head and access to other critical components. This will prevent you from having to completely disassemble the burner, remove wiring or move other equipment. Some burners require installation of heavy refractory materials that are difficult to install and maintenance intensive.

Reduce excess air

Excess air reduces efficiency, but is necessary for good mixing, clean combustion and low CO emissions. A typical burner is rated by the percentage of excess oxygen (%O2) measured in the stack. 3% O2 is the same as 15% excess air, which is a good target for most industrial applications.
Consider an 8:1 burner with 3% O2 that is cycled several times per hour to maintain system temperature during non-operating hours. This is typically more efficient than a burner with a 20:1 modulation ratio that never cycles but has up to 75% excess air.

Variable Frequency Drives

When installing a new burner is the ideal time to install a variable frequency drive (VFD) for the forced draft fan. A VFD is a good idea for any burner system, especially one that will not be running at full capacity all the time. Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Extend motor life by reducing starting current
Significantly lower fan power consumption due to the fan affinity rule
Easier control of the burner due to lower fan pressure when the burner is turned down

As the selection process becomes more difficult, talk to a burner expert for advice on your system. If you have questions about burner ratings or other terminology, please contact us. Contact us to discuss your burner selection or maintenance needs, and a ChineseBurner expert will be standing by to help you.
